Vacation Rentals in Breckenridge, CO
Breckenridge is Colorado's most visited ski resort town — and for good reason. A perfectly preserved Victorian mining town turned world-class mountain destination, Breckenridge offers the rare combination of authentic historic character, a vibrant Main Street, and access to five interconnected ski peaks with over 2,900 acres of terrain. At 9,600 feet in elevation, the town itself is a destination, not just a base for the mountain.
Lark Mountain Properties manages vacation rentals throughout Breckenridge, from slope-side condos steps from Peak 8 to charming mountain homes in the historic district within walking distance of Main Street. Our Breckenridge properties are handpicked for quality, location, and the ability to deliver a premium Colorado mountain experience.
Why Breckenridge?
Breckenridge Ski Resort sits on the Ikon Pass and covers five peaks (Peaks 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10) with terrain for every skill level. Beginners thrive on the gentle runs of Peak 8 and Peak 9, while expert skiers seek out the legendary Imperial Bowl at 13,000 feet — the highest lift-served terrain in North America.
But Breckenridge is far more than its mountain. Main Street is lined with over 200 shops, 80+ restaurants, and a thriving arts scene anchored by the Breckenridge Creative Arts campus and the iconic Blue River. The town is walkable, vibrant, and alive year-round with festivals — from the famous Ullr Fest (a Viking-themed snow festival) to the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts each summer.
Families love Breckenridge for its outstanding children's ski school, terrain parks, tubing hill at Epic Discovery, and the family-friendly atmosphere on and off the mountain. Couples find it equally romantic — especially in the quieter shoulder seasons when the aspen leaves turn gold in September and October.
When to Visit:
Breckenridge typically opens in November and runs through late April or early May, often one of the last Colorado resorts to close. Summer is increasingly popular, with the Epic Discovery outdoor adventure park, mountain biking, hiking, and festivals drawing crowds June through September.
Getting There:
Breckenridge is approximately 80 miles from Denver International Airport, about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and road conditions. Free town bus service and the BreckConnect gondola make it easy to get around without a car once you arrive.
